I want to give a big SHOUT out to my wonderful husband who has encourage me to pursue my passion and has been the backbone of my business.  He is such a wonderful husband and he has made this possible for me.  He is my life, best friend and the father of my wonderful kids!

I want to thank God for blessing our family with such a wonderful opportunity and having everything fall in place and making the whole move super smooth for us.  All we did was listened and he made it all happened for us.  I am super excited for the new coming year and I know God has great plans for all of us.

In some of the photographer forums and other blog there are discussions about the proper etiquette of blogging and what not to post about.  Some of them are usually about religion and politics.  From Jasmine Star’s blog , she post that it was a way of filtering out clients that want your service because they like you and they can connect with you as a person.  As photographer we are always looking for approval from our client and not really showing our true passion.  Our clients come to us because they trust our creativity and because they value our work.  I have to admit that I would take any clients because I wanted to stay busy and the out come of that is never good.   A lot of us have felt burnt out or taken advantage. For those of you that read this post. I am sorry if it may sound too religouse for you.

Over the weekend we went down to Los Angeles and visit my sisters and celebrate my niece and nephew’s birthday.  Sunday morning, I had the opportunity to listen to my brother-in-law preach on the sermon “Paul ~ A healthy Self Perception = A Healthy Approach to Life”.   Man everything he said just hit me hard to the core.  Every time I think about it, it just makes me want to tear up.  I have lost the true sight of who is in control of my life and it is “God”.  We go through the motions of living life with work, kids, school and family and we forget who is really in control.  We think we are in control and live to please ourselves and others.  One of the question that just stuck with me is “Who do you live to please?”  I just started to tear up uncontrollably and I didn’t know why.  I was kind of depressed that I felt my photography business wasn’t going anywhere and I do it because I love it.  I had allow others to determine the kind of photographer I was and I wasn’t following the dream and path that God had intended for me. I always felt I lost a lot of money and time by doing things for free.  During prayer all I can hear was God’s voice ensuring me “I have a plan for you. Don’t lose sight of who I am and you will be blessed”. God is such a wonderful creator and always remember that he is in control. 

I don’t know how all of this tides in together but my thought is that when you lose sight of who is incontrol, Your life and time just get out of whack. Hard lesson that we can’t do it all on our own. Sorry for repeating myself over and over but I hope you understand and enjoy the read.

I can’t believe she is 7 today. I remember the day when I found out I was expecting and without a doubt, I knew I was going to have a little girl. I had my heart set on have a little girl. The day she arrived, all of my wishes came true. On August 27th, I was blessed with a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Now 7 years later! She is the sweetest like girl and everyone just loves to be around her.

Happy Birthday baby girl!!! Mom, Dad and your brother love you very much!!!
