I’ve know Grace over 15 something years.  She is my younger sister’s good friend and when younger sister moved away,  Grace and I  hung out and became good friends.  She is like another sister to me and everywhere we went on vacations or family functions, she was a part of it.  She will always be the other sister in our family. 

 When she told me she met someone that she can see spending the rest of her life with, I was excited to meet this person. She explained that he was a breathe of fresh air for her and she was Stephen’s saving Grace. They are so cute together. I wish you both full life together and all the happiness in the world. Remember, to have a happy marriage! Grace is always RIGHT!

Your pictures are going to last a lifetime and you want to look your best. I recommend that brides find a good hair and make- up artist for their wedding day. Seriously, you spend so much money on your dress, shoes and ring. Why not splurge on a great and hair and make-up team? Allow yourself to be pampered! You deserve a fun escape from the stress of planning your wedding. Once you are all made up, you have every right to feel sassy and show off your gorgeous self! Give yourself permission to strut your stuff and work it in front of the camera. The feeling is priceless!!! Looking FABULOUS is so important on your wedding day and there should never be any question that you look as beautiful as you feel. I want you to show all of that off in front of the camera and never worry if your hair and make up looks right. Remember a picture is worth a thousand words!

I recommend scheduling your hair and make-up trial on the day of your engagement photo session. You can get your money’s worth after your engagement session by going out and enjoy a romantic dinner with your groom-to-be.

I had an opportunity to second shoot with Melissa O.  Her second shooter couldn’t help  for this wedding so I jumped at the opportunity.   Anything I can do to help out a fellow photographer and I know she would do the same for me.   She is such a wonderful person to work with and so easy going.  She kept telling Dawnielle and Chris that I am the best poser ever- blush, blush!

The wedding was at the beautiful Kenyon Estate in Vallejo.  The venue was a house on the hill with a 360 degree view of Vallejo.  It was so beautiful!  I got there a little early to capture the details and scope out some spots for Melissa to photograph Dawnielle and Chris.

Of course I was super curious to find out who I was going to photograph with Melissa , so I stalked Melissa’s Blog to get a glimpse of Dawnielle and Chris.  I was super excited to meet them and capture all of the moments and memories for them.  Dawnielle was a beautiful bride and the she had the prettiest eyes.  Everyone was so friendly.  You can see that they were so in love and for me the best part ever was to witness it all.

I arrived at Eagle Ridge Golf Club and never photographed a wedding at this location,I was amazed by all of the house near the golf club. The location is so beautiful! Rebecca was a stunning bride and she was just glowing with such beauty. I though to myself, Bruce is going to be so stunned when he sees her walking down the aisle.

I am glad that everything went smooth  for her them.  I am so privileged that I can be a part of such a special day for Rebecca and Bruce.  Congratulations guys!!!!

I was a traditional bride when planning my wedding.  I didn’t want to see Ryan before the ceremony, because it was branded in my head that it was bad luck to see the groom before the ceremony.  We are now in the 20^th century and brides are thinking out of the box and couples wants their wedding to be unique and different.

It has become a trend and more brides and grooms are opting to seeing each other before the ceremony.  By seeing each other before the ceremony made the couple feel SO much more calm and relaxed.  It gave them that moment to kind of forget about all of the stress of planning their wedding and just take in the moment that it is finally here.  It also allows them that small intimate moment together to reflect on how much they love each other.  I can contest that it is such a beautiful moment and it brings tears to my eyes every time I witness it.

The best part of a couple seeing each other before the ceremony is that it lends to a much smoother layout for family pictures, cocktail hour, and beautiful sunset pictures of the bride and groom after the ceremony. If a couple requests a First Look, I also encourage them to plan for family pictures and bridal party pictures beforehand. Com’on…how many people want to miss the cocktail hour? Not many. By capturing formal photos before the ceremony, it frees the family and bridal party to mingle, catch up with out-of-towners, and simply enjoy the mood of the day. Some couples opt to spend cocktail hour with their guests as their time is so limited during the reception, or some opt to enjoy some time alone.

I prefer a bride and groom to see each other before the ceremony, but–truthfully–it doesn’t matter to me either way. More than anything, I want my brides to be happy. I simply explain their options because I know they’ll make an educated decision. Often times brides think there are rules to weddings (Cannot see groom before hand, Must throw garter, Can not be seen as a couple until the Grand Entrance), but I believe there should only be one rule: Do What Makes You Happy.

It was an awesome intimate wedding in Southern California.  I had such a wonderful time hanging out with  Brigette and all of the beautiful bridesmaids. They are a crazy group and I loved every minute of it with them.  Thank you ladies for a wonderful time!!!!
